Status of Coconut Farmer Producer Companies (CPCs) in Western Tamil Nadu

Coconut Producer Companies (CPC) are formed with the main objective of socio economic development farmers by providing a fair, steady and reasonable income organizing unorganized coconut sector through farmer collectives. The specific study was to analyse performance assess problems faced CPCs in Western Tamil Nadu. For this study, data collected using Focus Group Discussion personal interview. In India there 67 registered CPCs, out which 17 (25.4 percent) from Nadu, that nearly 15 percent results showed Nadu majority (60 per cent) financially supported NABARD. All at initial stage its formation having less than four years existence. Results also indicate Majority facing inadequate access market, credit weak financials stage. concluded Unified Market License without payment Mandi fees, convergence resources for creation farm level infrastructure i.e. schemes may be introduced different activities like transportation, grading etc. benefit equity fund Guarantee scheme SFAC s extended all forms overcome financial
